Michael Jordan is by far the best NBA player of all-time. He has accomplished many things during his NBA career. He retired for 4 years, than he came back in the 2001-2002 season to play for the Washington Wizards. He has won 5 NBA championships, all with the Chicago Bulls. He won in 91,92,93,96, and 97. Many people call him “Air Jordan” because he did many dunks that other people weren’t able to do. He was the best, and he still is the best even know he isn’t playing. He is a very good role model for the young and the old.

His family moved to Wilmington, North Carolina, when he was a toddler. Jordan attended Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington, where he began his athletic career by playing baseball, football, and basketball. He tried out for the Varsity Basketball team but he didn’t make it began he was only 5 feet 11 inches. During that summer, Michael grew 4 inches and he trained a lot everyday. When basketball season came he made the team. Michael averaged 25 points a game. As a senior, he was selected to play in the McDonald’s All-American Team. Jordan earned a basketball scholarship to the University of North Carolina, where he majored in cultura geography. He made the game-winning jump shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game against Georgetown. After winning the Naismith and the Wooden College Player of the Year awards in 1984, Jordan left North Carolina one year before his scheduled graduation to enter the 1984 NBA Draft. He was drafted 3rd by the Chicago Bulls.
